For those of you who know Wally Eaton, an unforeseen tragedy has occurred to him.
Wally has worked on our 2 boats for nearly 17 years - Stars & Stripes USA-11, & IL Moro ITA-16
This past October, Wally had a “golf ball size” cyst removed from his spine. It was supposed to be an easy operation.
About a week after the surgery, the wound started to drain profusely, spinal fluid. He was put back in the hospital to repair the delicate membrane that encases the spinal cord. After TWO & a HALF MONTHS - another THREE surgeries later, and dealing with spinal meningitis he’s finally home! Unbelievable.
A total of 4 surgeries on his spine (L-4, L-5), Wally arrived home on Jan 6, 2024.
He has a long road of recovery ahead. He will need to learn how to walk again.
I appeal to your compassionate hearts, and kindly request your support to help alleviate the financial burden faced by Wally. Your generous contributions will help ensure a brighter future for Wally as he continues to rebuild his life from the ground up.
We've started a GOFUNDME for him. Here's the LINK: https://gofund.me/c2234fbc
