LET ‘ER BUCK!

A few months ago, an old friend came to me with a request- a kick ass wedding present. After sharing a bit about the soon to be couple and their story that started in a University of Wyoming elevator, he gave me near total creative freedom and I ran with it!

Creating my own spin on the Wyoming bucking horse has been something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and this was the perfect opportunity to finally bring it to life! Thank you to my buyer for trusting my skills and vision, and huge congratulations to the new couple- “Let ‘er Buck… for life.”

We didn’t make it back to Wyoming for Christmas this year. A 16 hour car ride with a 7 month old, a 100lb German Shepherd, and I-80 weather sounded like a bit much for our family this December. I was sent this photo from my folks though- their print of Crown of the Valley, lit up by their beautiful crimson and gold tree. Made me smile and I wanted to share.

So grateful to have been asked by to create something special for their recent gala! Birb got a facelift with some new dabs of orange and blue in the background and new little details between his feathers. By the time I put down the paintbrush, I wasn’t sure what I liked more- the original, or his limited edition cousin!

So glad this special print was able to support the very special residents of as a silent auction piece at their gala earlier this month. Cheers to happy critters, big and small!

These mountains have found their match- Crown of The Valley has sold!

This 24” by 24” gem was completed with a slightly less abstract hand than some of my other wildlife pieces. Noting the subtle shifts in the colors cast on the granite, and adding the little detailed dabs of violet that dot across the bank- this piece took a bit of precision. But not at the expense of layered, painted trees or the wide open pale blue sky that add both texture and an openness to the canvas. I’m proud to say Crown of The Valley captures the breadth of my artistry- a dance between intricacy and organic intrigue.

Every painting I’ve ever put up for sale has sold… except for this gem. Crown of The Valley is my ode to the Tetons in late spring. With gold reflecting off the granite, the green of the valley below, and the pale blue of the big sky above- this canvas captures The Grand mid morning in all her glory.

I’ll be throwing more paint at my easel soon, likely with a baby strapped to my chest, but until then this piece remains my final original available for purchase. Want to help me reach that milestone and add Crown of The Valley to your collection? Message me to inquire.

Every piece in this photo has sold! After a year of hanging out in my garage, Birb, my funky Blue Heron boy has finally found a home. Birb was honestly one of my favorites and after spending quite a chunk of time together, I sort of miss him now that he’s gone! From the abstract hexagons from a Nike shoe, to the little square blobs from Lego minifigure footprints, to some piece of textured track I found in my garage... Birb is a culmination of warm oranges, cool blues, creativity, and chaos. Want a little bit of Birb for your own space? You can find prints on my website!
