Hello all! So I’ve purposefully, not been posting pics of her progress. I’m the guy that likes surprises. She is all packed up and ready to go home! I can wait to share her with you all. I WILL of course post all kinds of pics and videos after the burn. In the meantime here are a couple teasers. I’m particularly stoked about here talons. This was a big detail for me! Talk about a waking dream come true! Thank you all for your interest and support! We are hoping to inspire people to “ intentionally Phoenix “ what is something you want to Phoenix? For me it was over coming some deep rooted lack mentality. When I’m reality I have been surrounded by abundance. Friends, love and support. Quite a few lessons brought to my awareness on just who I am and how I operate as a human.

So today, the reality set in, I’m heading Home. Not the home that some of you may think of, but TTITD, Black Rock City, Burning Man (this is Sara Husby btw. I packed essentials and saw them driven away 45 minutes ago. Did you know that when I went to the playa in 2019 I was between chemo treatments six and seven? There were so many incredible people that made that journey happen and I will forever be grateful. It is now my time to give back to the community.

I am extremely proud to be part of the Phoenix Syndrome (http://www.burnerpodcast.com/ps.html). Inspired by so many things, and people, the Phoenix Syndrome would not even exist without our fearless leader, lead artist and visionary Dylan Eccleston.

A majestic creature that emerges from the ashes of its own destruction to reform and take to the sky. Our Phoenix was hatched from the fire. Like many, when facing her first rebirth, she was scared of the fire, afraid of starting over. Worried that a new life would make the old one less meaningful, real, or true.

Instead of making her weaker, each fire refined her materials and burned away what no longer served her purposes. Through each emergence she found an increasing level of freedom and desire to protect and nurture those on a similar quest to keep the spirit of hope alive.

Her story is our story. A perfect metaphor for this moment in history and humanity. Do we have the courage to allow the fire that consumed us also light the way to our futures? Will we rise from the ashes or let them blow away in the winds of chaos and chance?

Through this art and community, we have the incredible opportunity to shape her story which is yours, mine, and ours. Let’s harness the energy of love and community to find the strength we need to withstand the fire and emerge.

Things have been fluttering in the background. We were able to get the base and perch all mocked up. Just need a couple more welds and we’re into building the final components. We were even able to get the base and wings painted! More pics to come! I’ll be joining in with camp mates from Punkin project and ASAP running lights this coming weekend! Having a lot of fun working my ass off!
