A locals night, front to back. JENOS takes the headline slot. He’s held it before, and anyone paying attention knew it was only a matter of time before the room put him there again. Expect liquid, expect it to build. Zaifa comes through from the Inland Empire with an ear for the journey. Knotice warms up the room with his dancer-focused, late 90s underground roots, nothing wasted. Monky’s back. The room keeps calling.

anctuary is back at EQ. This one brings a Berlin connection. Bootleg has been in drum and bass since 2007, spent years as a SonneMondSterne Allstar, and has shared floors with the names you already know. Over fifteen years deep, fast mixing, high-energy selection. A proper touring set for a room that can hold it.

Holding down the local side: BaDJeR, rooted in two of SD’s most serious crews, Monarch Metamorphosis and Bomb Shelta Sound. Monarch’s own festival, Bug Out, is making its return after a few years spent leveling up on larger productions at Off The Grid Campout. You know what BaDJeR brings. If you don’t, you will.

Sanctuary returns to EQ San Diego for Cinco de Mayo. Jungle and drum and bass from open to close. A community night, no cover, no ceremony.

DJ ICKEE joins the room. Thirty-plus years deep in the underground, cutting his teeth on Inland Empire warehouse raves before the scene had a name. He’s been holding it down across Southern California ever since. A head who came up in the era when finding the music meant hunting record stores and building mixtapes from scratch.

Alongside him: Jenos, Ennate, and JoshthebeaR on the lineup.

Jade Venom built Eatbrain from the ground up into a global standard for the genre, headlining Rampage, Let It Roll, and Fabric along the way. His productions are in the sets of every serious selector in the scene.

On April 22, he brings the label’s sound to EQ San Diego.
