Black Renaissance Theatre SDSU Black Renaissance is an established theatre group at San Diego State University.

Our goal is to provide a safe space for Black theatre artists to shine and feel welcome, where they can collaborate and have their voices be heard.

CALLING ALL GRADUATING SENIORS!
Join Musical Theater Club, Skull and Dagger Dramatic Society, and Black Renaissance for our 2023 SENIOR SHOWCASE! This years senior showcase will be taking place on two nights:
MAY 12th~ 7-9 pm ~ Rhapsody Hall
A Night of Acting
Showcase your monologues, scenes, and short films for the first night of our Senior Showcase! Original works and selections from plays no more than 10 minutes are welcome!
MAY 13th~ 7-9 pm ~ Rhapsody Hall
A Night of Musical Theatre
Bring out your best solo or small group numbers for the second night of our showcase! Students can also participate in full company group numbers! See the sign up form for more information.
Seniors are welcome to perform in both or just one night!
Tickets are FREE and all are welcome to help send off our graduating seniors!

We are proud to announce we will be collaborating with Associated Students and Long Beach Indie International Film Festival for our 2nd Annual Black Film Festival!

The Black Film Festival will be hosted April 27th at Scripps Cottage starting with our mixer at 7pm! All food at the event will be free!
