WE WANT YOU … to attend The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) for our opening performance tonight! Our show is running Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm, Sunday at 2pm! Come see Julius Caesar, Mark Antony, and Cleopatra in DelArte Theatre Company’s production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)! Leading our fabulous team at DelArte Theatre Company is the brilliant Angie Bitsko!

Evangeline "Angie" Bitsko is the co-founder and Producing Artistic Director of DelArte Theatre Company. As a theatre artist, her experience includes roles performed at the Old Globe Theatre, San Diego Repertory Theatre, the Coronado Playhouse, the McCallum Theatre, La Jolla Stage Company, and the San Diego Performing Arts Center. She has directed/produced over fifty stage productions ranging from classical Shakespeare to contemporary dramatic and musical theatre productions. For over twenty-five years, Angie has served as an instructor, teaching artist, arts educator, arts administrator, and competition judge in a variety of educational and artistic settings including: San Diego Junior Theatre, the University of San Diego, San Diego State University, Coronado Playhouse, San Diego Repertory Theatre, Arts Education Connection San Diego, San Diego Performing Arts League, San Diego Theatre Educators Association, Educational Theatre Association, and the International Thespian Society. Along with her work building DelArte Theatre Company with her daughter, she is currently an adjunct professor of acting, musical theatre, and stage production at John Paul the Great Catholic University. She is is delighted to be bringing her dream to life along with her amazing production team.

Last up on our cast feature is the phenomenal JD Martin!

Born and raised in Sacramento, California, JD Martin is an actor and screenwriter currently residing in Escondido, California. JD has always been a storyteller at heart, whether it be on the page or the stage. As an actor, he has portrayed roles such as Edmund in King Lear and Jaques in As You Like It. As a screenwriter, he wrote and co-directed the action-comedy short film Brawls in the Stalls, which will be entering the festival circuit in the coming months. As a lifelong fan of Shakespeare, JD is incredibly excited to participate in this show and is hopeful for many more to come!

We’re thrilled to have JD joining our team, so come by and see his performance (along with the rest of our fantastic cast) in Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)! Rosemary Bailey is a screenwriter, director, and actress with a love for blending comedy and drama. Driven by her interest in psychology and mental health, she considers herself a student of character and enjoys telling stories about unexpected connections and unusual conflicts.
