You’re invited into something special 🌿

Abundant Praise Community Circle is an artistically-centered gathering rooted in connection, community, and shared experience—a space to gather, feel, witness, and reconnect.

This is a safe, inclusive, and co-existing space that celebrates the divine within us and around us. Through performance, reflection, conversation, and light movement, we come together to reconnect—with ourselves and with one another.

Together, we’ll explore what we’re releasing and what we’re stepping into this spring.

What to expect:

🫂Thank you for witnessing, for trusting, and for holding this sacred space with us.

Since the performances, so many of you have reached out — through calls, messages, and conversations — sharing your own stories of church, faith, praise, shame, healing, and becoming. Your openness and reflections are part of what allowed this experience to live beyond the stage.

⭕️There were also so many surprises and full-circle moments. To many of you shared how this work revealed parts of my story you had never known, even after years of knowing me to My original praise dance instructor surprising me by being in the room and sharing that he recognized something in me from a young age.

These moments meant more than I can express. I feel at peace, grateful and in alignment.

✨Thank you to Abundant Praise for your trust, beauty, and stories. I know I can be a lot to work with, but it is always worth it.

Thank you for affirming what my inner child always knew.

I am so grateful that love is stronger than pride.
Grateful for Sadè and my momma.

This section of Praise Is Who I Am holds tenderness, vulnerability, and the quiet courage of softening with ourselves and with one another.

Many of you reflected on how this work felt like witnessing a spiritual journey rooted in love, art, authenticity, nature, and lived experience beyond limitation.

Praise, for me, has become something expansive. Not confined to tradition, but alive in the body, in relationship, in beauty, and in truth.

This show shifted something in me that feels permanent. Telling my story in this way, and being witnessed with such love and connection has changed me.

🫂Thank you for coming to witness.
Thank you for the calls, the texts, the messages.
Thank you for sharing your own stories of church, faith, shame, healing, and discovery with me in return.

I’ve been in hibernation since Praise Is Who I Am — resting, integrating, and letting what happened settle into my body.

I’ll be taking a much-needed pause this season, but please know this is just the beginning for Abundant Praise.

Hi, I’m Keomi Tarver.

I’m a performing artist, choreographer, educator, and the visionary behind Abundant Praise and Black Girl Bloom. My work lives at the intersection of dance, testimony, healing, and community — where Hip Hop, praise, twerk, and traditional gospel dance are all welcome in the same room.

I began praise dancing at 12 years old, and what started as devotion became a lifelong vehicle for expression, liberation, and joy. Through performance, teaching, and creative direction, I create spaces where people feel safe to witness themselves, their stories, and their divinity without shame.

This work is not just choreography.
It’s testimony. It’s reclamation. It’s praise reimagined.

🔬👩🏾‍🔬I’ve been doing research on the questions;
How did my ancestors praise? How did yours?
How did they move their bodies in gratitude?
How did they connect to the land, to their people, to their own spirit?

🌍This piece, African Praise, was created to connect with my roots and my lineage, and I’m excited to share this piece again.

Praise dance did not begin in the church. It’s much older.
It has always lived in the body.
In community.
In rhythm.
In joy.

Praise can be secular.
Sacred.
Spiritual.
And everything in between.

It’s the JOY for me.

What kind of show is this?

Here’s the truth:

✋🏾 There is no altar call. That’s your business, not ours — this is about the God over your own understanding. The God within and around you.

💃🏾✨ In Praise Is Who I Am, I share my journey from leaving San Diego and returning — and all the ways praise expanded for me through art, community, breakdowns and breakthroughs, hip hop, twerk, and traditional gospel dance.

👀💛 All you have to do is be present, receive the work, and be a witness.
