Everything we do has an effect on who we are. However, crossing paths with another person has a slightly more profound impact in that each interaction makes us think about who they are and causes us to question who we are as well. This changes us in both subtle and meaningful ways, reaffirming our understanding of ourself or altering us in some way, and influences the rest of our life. In the end, our thoughts and beliefs on any topic are a compilation of all the interactions we’ve had throughout life, giving us clarity into who we are or confusing us to no end, both of which are acceptable (all people end up falling into both buckets depending upon what piece of themself they are examining).
