Happy heavenly 21st birthday my wonderful, handsome, intelligent, loving, and witty son. You left us way too soon and not one day passes that I wish you were still here. The love you left behind is so strong and my love for you is beyond infinite. Life is not the same nor will I ever be living without you. I want you to always feel my love and know how proud I am of you and will always be. You touched me and so many others and my life was changed forever when you came into this world and has changed again now that you left. As scared as I was to be a father, you made me love being one and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I was both blessed and honored to be your father. I miss you so much every day and I cannot believe this is my new reality, but I must accept what has happened and try to understand with God's help why you left. I pray for you daily and all of my love has gone with you. Although we never made it to Las Vegas to celebrate this day, I hope and pray that you are happy and ok and that I will see you when it is my time. Until then, know that you are the best son that any father could ever ask for and that I am so proud of you and love you immensely. Love daddy.

Where were you on this day 23 years ago? I was getting ready for work when I got a call to turn on the TV. The first tower was on fire, shortly after, the second plane hit the other tower while I was watching the whole event. It didn't even look real, but it was. May we keep this country safe and never allow something like this to occur again.
