Call to Artists Community Art Gallery Program

Deadline for submissions is Friday, April 17, 2026, 6 PM

The City of San Bruno Community Art Gallery Program encourages artistic expression and fosters a greater appreciation for art in our community. Artists are invited to submit applications to exhibit two-dimensional work in the San Bruno Public Library’s main reading room. Accepted artists receive a $250 stipend. Applications may be submitted individually or as a group; preference will be given to local artists.

Last chance to apply for the Call to Artists – Art on Loan Program at the San Bruno Recreation and Aquatic Center!

The City of San Bruno Art on Loan Program encourages artistic expression and fosters a greater appreciation for art in our community. Artists are invited to submit applications to exhibit two-dimensional works in San Bruno's new Recreation and Aquatic Center (the RAC). Accepted artists receive a $500 stipend. Applications may be submitted individually or as a group; preference will be given to local artists.

Deadline for submissions is Monday, December 8, 2025, 6 PM.

The City of San Bruno is excited to invite local and regional artists to participate in the Centennial Plaza 1st Thursdays Program! Held in the heart of downtown San Bruno at the new Centennial Plaza (470 San Mateo Avenue), this event will showcase one visual artist alongside a live musical performance and highlight one featured San Bruno business each 1st Thursday of the month from December 2025 – November 2026. This is a wonderful opportunity for artists to gain exposure, connect with the community, and share their creative work in a lively downtown setting.

Hey San Bruno! Don't forget that every Friday night this September near the tennis courts at San Bruno City Park, we will be watching movies!

🗿Calling all Artists! - Posy Park Sculpture Opportunity🗿

The City of San Bruno Culture and Arts Commission invites artists to submit proposals for a permanent outdoor sculpture to be installed at Posy Park. Deadline is Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 5 PM. This is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact on the community -- especially if you are a San Bruno resident!

Posy Park is at the north end of the San Mateo Avenue downtown area in San Bruno. It is adjacent to the San Bruno Caltrain stop's southbound platform. This sculpture will be seen by those dining downtown, commuting by train, and biking along or driving through San Mateo Avenue.

2025 Movies in the Park - Vote!

The City of San Bruno's Culture and Arts Commission invites you to vote for "Movies in the Park." Vote for up to four movies. The four movies with the highest votes will be shown on Friday night in September in City Park. Voting is available June 9 through July 13.
