Hope all is well for everyone.

My prints made it back home safely from being linen backed and restored by Bee Easy Restorations and I couldn’t be happier! What can I say…they hit a GRAND SLAM!! I had no idea the Kurt print would come out so amazing, it truly blew my mind and expectations of what Ben and his crew were capable of doing. As you can see in the comparison photos, Kurt was badly damaged with pieces missing here and there, creased up and had tape all around the edges; but now it’s back as one piece and ready to be shown off. The Grateful Dead print came out amazing as well, the colors are much more vibrant, and the horrible water stains are gone! Next step is to design and build their frames, then display them proudly for everyone to enjoy.

HUGE THANKS again to Bee Easy Restorations for reviving these irreplaceable and priceless pieces of art/music memorabilia.

Hope all is good with everyone today.

Today I'll finally be sending two of my prized prints to get restored by a friend at Bee Easy Restorations. Please check out his page if you've ever been interested in getting some of your prints restored, and let him know Rigo sent you. I will definitely post pictures once I receive my prints so you all can see his amazing work.

The first print is my large very rare England subway print (approx. 54"x39") of Kurt D. Cobain. I purchased this along with many other prints about 20 years ago from a young woman having to get rid of them due to her boyfriend, all for only $10! This print wasn't included in the ad she posted, but it blew my mind when I got home and realized what I had. The condition of this print is not ideal, but it's not too far gone. I have kept it stored and dry for years, just waiting for it's time to shine.

The other print I'm sending Ben is my 5th reprint of the infamous Grateful Dead print (RP 006). This print began the skeleton and roses design that continues to be part of their poster designs to this day. Although being a reprint, it's still very sought after and collectable. I purchased this from a guy who didn't know the band for only $60. His home flooded and the print was in his closet which did get some water damage along the bottom, but besides that I would consider this print to be in very good condition.

Again, can't thank Ben enough for his talents and taking on my projects.

Hope you all are doing well and keeping safe.

This past Friday (12-11-20) I pulled the switch on a personal project I have been looking forward to starting, and want to share the experience with you all. I am also working on other frame-ups, but I just have to sneak this one in.

This is a rare large sized England print of Kurt Cobain pointing the gun at the camera from the early 90's, which measures 39.25" x 54.75" and have named it DIVE after one of my favorite Nirvana tracks.

I acquired this print about 15 years ago, thru Craigslist. This print was not pictured in the ad but with a title of "Box full of Nirvana posters $10" it was impossible to pass up. Although it turned out to be an amazing find, the posters were not in good condition; as you can see in the pictures. I feel these prints came into my possession for a reason, so I am going to do what I can to get them ready to be displayed and enjoyed!

My plan is to get it professionally restored, and Ben at Bee Easy Restorations will be handling the task of getting Kurt back to display worthy condition. Once Ben is done working his magic, I will be doing the custom frame job before hanging it in our hallway at home. It is going to be a great experience, and I will post updates as I make progress on it.

Thank you all for the continued support, it is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Rigo Charó

This frame up was done for another friend of mine, and is the first attempt of me embellishing the mat board...so I am eager to hear y'alls feedback on this one.

It is double matted, with a standard mat underneath and an 8 ply mat on top. I then used a metallic silver and dark red paint marker to add the designs onto the mat. The silver frame added that special touch to make things pop!

I had a blast with this one and am ready to continue stepping it up for you all.

Thanks for the support.

This frame up was done for another great friend of mine and his family, who have been awesome to my family and I. Thank you guys.

This project consisted of framing a lithograph of the Firepower tour and both tickets from the show. It turned out great and they all loved it!

Thanks for the support.

This project was a collaboration of three individuals, my friend's girlfriend (Stephanie), my brother and myself. It was a surprise birthday gift for a good friend of mine, Kody Randall. Midnight Kustoms is the name of his dream shop.

My brother helped me with designing the wording, Stephanie helped by providing me with the truck drawing that Kody drew, then I took all the work and designed it. Once designed, I had a friend print it on sticker vinyl which I then placed on top of the mirror. Then I cut the pieces I wanted to be etched, poured the etching cream and then removed the remaining vinyl.

Overall it came out great and my buddy really liked it, which is the best outcome I can ask for.

Thanks for your support.

My wife was given this painting earlier this year. The day she brought it home I researched the artist and found out she is a San Antonio native, Alejandra Salazar. Knowing I was going to build a frame for the painting, I had an idea and contacted her.

I emailed her to get some information on the piece and to inquire on a possible collaboration project. Luckily she was more than willing to help, and we found out this piece was completed in 2009 - 2010. She enjoys painting religious figures and was so happy to see this painting again.

Once I sanded and built the frame, I took it to Alejandra's shop to discuss the project details. It stayed with her one week and we couldn't believe the great work she did on touching up the piece and painting the frame.

Alejandra touched up scuff marks that were there prior to our ownership, took off the glossy finish and added a matte finish. She then painted the frame with a dark to light fade effect of the same yellow used in the painting. Came out beautifully!

It was a fun project overall, and it was great working with a local artist.

A friend of mine had a close family friend pass away and wanted to have some of his items framed up. The items consisted of a jersey, face mask cover he wore when riding his motorcycle and sheet from his memorial. This was my second time framing clothing items, and I feel I still have lots to learn; but my buddy loved it! Thanks for the support.

This puzzle was completed back in July for a family friend's husband who is a Vegas aficionado. Had a great time gaining more experience with framing puzzles, and am very glad he loved the color scheme I decided on. Thanks for the support!
