A while ago I was trying to draw characters with unique or distinctive facial features. I like how this one came out. Went in there and added some soft shadows and highlights, original sketch included. Hopefully I’ll be uploading more often, if not finished pieces at the very least sketchbook pics/scans every now and then.

Shark pet! Made this on a whim to flex the art muscle, I was going for something quick but ended up making it a 2 part effort. I would like to practice painting underwater subjects more. I like how lighting gets all wavy under the sea~

1. Do you notice anything else swimming around in this shot?

2. Should I make a 'stage 2' form for this fakemon/monster?

Fanart of Poppy looking all edgy in her Concrete music video. Originally part of that "6 fanarts challenge" I was gonna make, but corona-madness and depression happened and all my plans and hopes ended up scattering in the wind as it tends to happen..

AANYWAYS. yeah, I'm trying to whip myself into shape and get more productive, partly to see the type of stuff I make within a set time limit and try to gauge over time any possible improvement :v woop woop

Ghost Pokemon!!! I think it's the pokemon type with the most consistently cool designs ^_^ also I uploaded the full resolution 15" x 18" image as a digital download for print on my Etsy shop!! [Link in my bio] If anyone's interested in actual prints and not just the file, let me know and I'll make it happen.

This one was a challenge and I still think I could've done some things differently but in the spirit of wabi-sabi I'm letting this one be what it is. Crooked lines and all ~,~ (might add Banette at some point)

Since this image is so big and instagram will likely downgrade the quality I wanna see if I can do one of those 3 x 4 grid posts to show the details in a more organized fashion..

This is an old sketch from my H.S. days. I can't unsee everything that's wrong with it, but that's just how it goes.. It's hard to fight depression and feelings of worthlessness especially during these difficult times. We have to stop letting perfectionism and the fear of failure stop us from doing what we love. Things will NEVER be perfect, every action we take is gonna be flawed in one way or another, always. So what!! right?

Sorry for the rant, it's just that these past couple of months have been a struggle in a lot of ways. Being broke suuucks.

Anyways, the idea behind this is that there's people that form lifelong pacts with a dragon and later get recruited by a semi-independent organization of knights to become Dragon Knights, peacekeepers of the world. Totally not inspired by Dragon Rider lore from the Eragon book series :p
