Hey wonderful TRG family! Here is audition info for upcoming Josephine Theatre production. I don't have any more details so follow contact instructions. They are having another round of auditions tomorrow. Toodles!! THE JOSEPHINE THEATRE is doing the 4th installment of the gospel show Music For the Soul, called “Up Yonder”. It’ll run for 4 weekends starting July 17th.
Rehearsals are just Mon, Wed, Thu nights at 7:30p starting 6/1. Additional days and times can be worked out.
Here are the details. - Rehearsals start 6/1. Will be on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Additional rehearsals can happen and negotiated. - Music parts and choreography will be posted for cast to do a lot of work on their on. - The shows run 7/17-8/9. Friday-Sunday. No show on 7/18. - Looking to have another audition this Wednesday so as to meet the artistic team.
AUDITION NOTICE: THE JOSEPHINE THEATRE
The Josephine Theatre will be holding open auditions for “Up Yonder,” part four of the “Music for The Soul” series of musicals originally created by Keith Wilson, Missy Miller, and Michael Berlet.
“Up Yonder” continues the exploration of the evolution of music from Negro spirituals to Gospel, Christian, Blues, Jazz, R & B, Soul, Funk, and contemporary Gospel in a powerful spiritual celebration that reminds us that the soul is never lost, it is simply going home.
The production calls for 50+ individuals ages 7 through adults of all ages. There is a need for singers, dancers, actors, and choir members of every shape, size, age, and color, and anyone who is interested is encouraged to audition.
Auditionees should bring a prepared song of 2 minutes or less. Karaoke track or acapella is acceptable. If you would like to audition strictly as a dancer or actor, please bring a choreographed piece or monologue of 2 minutes or less.
Auditions will be held on Saturday May 23rd, 2026 from 3pm to 6pm at The Josephine Theatre, 339 W. Josephine Street, S.A., TX., 78212. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions.
