Heartbreaking post...I am saddened to post the passing of Latrelle Bright. For those of you who knew her, Latrell was one of the co-Founders of The Renaissance Guild-San Antonio’s Premiere Black Theatre Company back in 2001 by her, Paul Riddle, Jr., and me. We were the Three Black Musketeers! Latrelle was the driving force behind TRG, grabbing me and Paul along for the wide ride. She was may have been short in stature, but she carried a big stick!!! Her inspiration and commitment inspired us all to thinking outside the box and embracing the unknown. I. Will. Miss Her! Here is info for he Celebration of Life that will be held in Champaign, Il. Rest well my beloved friend-and tell Paul Riddle, Jr I said Hi!!!

Hello TRG Family and San Antonio Theatre Community. I am shocked & saddened to inform you that our dear friend & castmate, Charles Riley, has transitioned to Glory. He will be dearly missed!! I do not any other info than for funeral service info listed below.
He graced the TRG stage in many of our productions:
Fences, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, A Raisin in the Sun, Dearly Departed, Black Nativity, Rumors, Act One Series, and others.(Let me know which ones I missed)

Thank you so much for your patience since it’s been a while since we went on hiatus. But now we are re-energized, regrouping, and planning for performances for 2021!

We are in immediate need of volunteers to help us out in the following area:

Administrative Assistants-(3) are needed to work closely with each of the following dynamic TRG Board members:

Ella Edwards - President

Lainey Starr - Secretary

Danielle King - Co-Founder/Producer

Volunteer Assistants need to have their own computer and be proficient in:

-MS programs, Internet, emailing

-type 20 wpm

-have a cell phone and excellent communication skills

My name is Lou Garza Artistic Director at STAGE Theater in Bulverde, TX.

My dilemma is this: I am directing the Musical Hank Williams "Lost Highway" and we open on July 11th and run through July 28 Thurs-Sundays except for July 14-No show. My Actor playing Tee Tot who taught Hank Williams how to play and sing since he was a child has DROPPED out on us for health reasons. So I need an actor that is Black, can sing and quick study although we could utilize a scrim with lines on a chair if need be. Tee Tot is a flashback in this play with several scenes but the one I am attaching is the longest and most significant.

STAGE does not pay but I would stipend the actor for at least gas money if he would do this for us. We resume rehearsals tonight and rehearse Mon-Thurs 7-9 except for one additional Friday coming up in two weeks. My cell number is 210-303-0266 and the theater's is 830-438-2339. We are in Bulverde.
