At Helotes Gallery, the collection is never still.

Each visit offers a new conversation between color, texture, form, and place: bold contemporary abstractions, luminous landscapes, intimate regional scenes, sculptural works, ceramics, glass, wood, wildlife, portraiture, and pieces that quietly surprise from across the room. The gallery continues to evolve wall by wall, shelf by shelf, inviting visitors to discover something they may not have noticed before—or something that was not here yesterday.

This is the pleasure of a living gallery: art in motion, artists in dialogue, and fresh discoveries waiting in the heart of Old Town Helotes.

Whether you are a collector, a first-time visitor, or simply someone who enjoys being surrounded by beauty, there is always something new to see at Helotes Gallery.

Come wander. Look slowly. Let something find you.

A good cup does more than hold coffee—it holds character.

Our ceramic cups bring the gallery experience right into your hands, from storybook roosters and pond-side frogs to bold botanical designs, ocean-blue glazes, carved textures, and teapots that practically ask for a slow afternoon. Each piece has its own personality: playful, painterly, earthy, elegant, and just a little bit unexpected.

This is where fine art meets daily ritual. A handmade cup turns morning coffee, afternoon tea, or a cozy kitchen shelf into a small work of art.

Come browse the ceramic collection at Helotes Gallery in Old Town Helotes—because your favorite drink deserves better than ordinary.

In these striking monochromatic works, Randy McGuire explores the drama of shadow, architecture, machinery, and myth with remarkable technical command.

Rendered in a restrained grayscale palette, McGuire’s subjects emerge with sculptural force: a gargoyle poised like a cathedral sentinel, an ornate lantern transformed into an object of quiet grandeur, antique metalwork glowing with timeworn elegance, a suit of armor suspended between history and legend, and a dense constellation of mechanical forms that turns industry into intricate visual poetry.

Across these pieces, light becomes the central narrator. It catches the edge of stone, glances across riveted steel, settles into carved ornament, and reveals the beauty of surfaces marked by age, use, and imagination. McGuire invites the viewer to look closely—not simply at objects, but at the stories embedded in texture, craftsmanship, and shadow.

These works reward slow looking. Step nearer, and the details begin to speak.

Now on view at Helotes Gallery in Old Town Helotes.

Some paintings whisper. Beverly Chemin’s work glows.

Her florals feel like they were gathered from a sunlit windowsill, then painted at the exact moment color decided to dance. Roses blush, lilies sing, teacups wait patiently, and every vase seems to hold a little bit of morning light. Even her quiet boats drift with that same soft poetry—peaceful, reflective, and full of feeling.

Beverly’s brushwork brings together the elegance of classic still life with a fresh, expressive looseness that feels right at home here at Helotes Gallery: fine art with a wink of warmth, color, and charm.

Come see these luminous pieces in person in Old Town Helotes. Photos are lovely, but the paint has its own personality up close.

Artist Amy Hilldebrand paints flowers as if they’ve been caught holding the light.

Her floral works are luminous, layered, and quietly dramatic—petals unfolding in soft whites, buttery yellows, blush pinks, and deep shadow. These aren’t just blossoms; they’re little theaters of color and glow, where every curve feels intentional and every highlight seems to breathe.

There’s a beautiful tension in Amy’s work: delicate subject, bold presence. Her paintings feel graceful from across the room, then absolutely mesmerizing up close. The longer you look, the more the petals reveal—like nature dressed for opening night.

Come see Amy Hilldebrand’s work at Helotes Gallery in Old Town Helotes, where fine art meets fresh wonder.

Artist Steven Harris has a way of painting the places where the soul exhales.

From breezy shorelines and quiet marshes to winding country roads and harbors glowing at sunset, Steven’s work feels like a deep breath in color. His brushwork captures more than a view—it catches the hush of water, the warmth of afternoon light, the softness of clouds drifting by, and that familiar feeling of wanting to stay just a little longer.

These pieces bring a beautiful sense of calm to Helotes Gallery: painterly, atmospheric, and full of gentle movement. Whether you’re drawn to the beach, the backroads, or the shimmer of boats on the water, Steven Harris invites you into a landscape you can almost hear.

There’s something wonderfully cinematic about Alan Small’s work—like the West paused mid-story and let color do the talking.

This piece brings together bold silhouettes, sun-washed blues, hot desert orange, and the quiet confidence of riders who look like they’ve wandered straight out of a Texas daydream. Alan’s style feels both nostalgic and fresh: a little cowboy classic, a little pop-art punch, and a whole lot of personality.

At Helotes Gallery, we love art that makes you stop, smile, and stay a while. Alan Small’s work does exactly that. It rides the line between fine art and fun art with easy charm.

Come see it in person in Old Town Helotes—where the boots are dusty, the colors are bright, and the walls always have a story to tell.

What a beautiful success for “Reflections in Paint — The Abstract Work of Bobby Gombert.”

Bobby’s work filled Helotes Gallery with color, rhythm, movement, and the kind of layered energy that makes you lean in closer, then step back, then lean in all over again. His abstracts don’t just hang on the wall; they hum, chatter, dance, and invite every visitor to find their own reflection in the paint.

Thank you to everyone who came out, celebrated the work, asked questions, shared stories, and helped make the show such a vibrant evening in Old Town Helotes. This is exactly what we love most: art bringing people together, from seasoned collectors to curious first-time gallery wanderers.

A special congratulations to Bobby Gombert on a wonderful show. Your work brought the “fine art to fun art” spirit to life in full color.

Come by Helotes Gallery to experience the pieces in person while they’re still on view. Some art whispers. Bobby’s work throws open the door and starts a conversation. The exhibition will remain on display through June 7th.
