In addition to presenting our own concert series, CCSA regularly sings with Opera San Antonio, San Antonio Chamber Choir, and the San Antonio Mastersingers. CCSA has performed alongside the Texas Bach Choir and the UTSA Choirs and Orchestra, the United States Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants, and has been featured in Luminaria, the San Antonio Early Music Festival, Musica San Antonio, and the
San Antonio Founders Day Celebration. CCSA's advanced choirs have traveled across the state and around the world with feature performances at state, regional and national music education conventions and tours to Scotland, Italy, Ireland, England, Canada and France. Air Force Academy Chapel, Carnegie Hall, the International Festival-Institute at Round Top, Texas and the Cathédral of Notre Dame, Paris. Other acclaimed performances include a fully-staged Baroque opera production of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and on-air features with NBC-TV’s Today Show and NPR’s Performance Today. Recordings by CCSA include The Alamo City Sings, a 15-year retrospective; Voicerenity: Children’s Lullabies, released under the auspices of the San Antonio Public Library Foundation; and The Best of the 20th Anniversary Concert Performances. Our singers have championed new music for children’s choirs by commissioning seven new works over the past 12 years. CCSA programs include early childhood and neighborhood choir opportunities to reach all youngsters in San Antonio who wish to sing. Music Together with CCSA began in 2005 to provide infants, young children and their families an opportunity to explore music together.
