We're already counting down the days to San Antonio's signature Día de Mu***os celebration at Hemisfair! Every October, Hemisfair comes alive with 90+ handmade altars, two processions, live music, local artisans, workshops, and more than 100,000 people from around the world.

Now in its 14th year, it's been recognized by National Geographic, USA Today, and CBS Saturday Morning as one of the nation's premier cultural events, and it's still entirely rooted in the community that built it.

Applications are now open for altar participants for the 14th Annual Mu***os Fest at Hemisfair, taking place October 23, 24, & 25 at Hemisfair in downtown San Antonio.

Since 2013, Mu***os Fest has grown into one of the nation’s largest and most beloved Day of the Dead celebrations. At the heart of our festival are our altar builders. Each ofrenda tells a story of love, remembrance, and tradition, and together they create San Antonio’s largest open-air altar exhibition.
