Makeup Artist Camp is held March 9 - 13, 2026 Monday through Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm. This camp is designed for creative students eager to learn professional makeup techniques and explore their artistry. Participants will gain hands-on experience with creative makeup looks, get industry insights and guidance into a makeup career, and daily activities that enhance their skills. All materials are provided—just bring a sack lunch and your enthusiasm for makeup! This year we have added a wig day where students will learn the basics of wigs to round out their skills as a working makeup artist. A short breakdown of the week can be found below:
Monday : Intro to Makeup
Learn the essentials of makeup artistry. Covers tools, techniques, and foundational skills for creating stunning looks.
Tuesday: Beauty Makeup
On this day students will learn beauty, editorial, fashion, and wedding makeup techniques. Perfect for aspiring artists looking to enhance their skills in diverse makeup styles.
Wednesday: Theatrical Makeup
Learn theatrical makeup techniques, including old age makeup, character makeup, facial hair application, and face painting. Perfect for aspiring makeup artists looking to expand their skill set.
Thursday: Special F/X Makeup
Learn special effects makeup techniques, including applying bald caps, creating realistic cuts, wounds, and bruises, and working with prosthetics. All materials are provided for hands-on instruction.
Friday: Wigs
This day will provide fundamental training in wig prep, wig application, intro to wig styling shaping, cutting, and curling to a finished look.
