We are thrilled to announce Luciano Perotto has been promoted to the rank of Soloist with Ballet San Antonio for our 2026-2027 season! 🌟🎉

Born in Argentina in 1997, Luciano Perotto is an award-winning ballet dancer recognized for his passionate artistry, versatility, and strong stage presence. 

He trained at prestigious institutions including The Rock School for Dance Education (USA), Barcelona Dance Center (Spain), Fundación Julio Bocca (Argentina), and the Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón (Argentina). 

Luciano began his professional career with Cleveland Ballet (USA, 2018–2019), performing a variety of classical roles. In 2019, he joined Ballet de Monterrey (Mexico) as a Soloist and was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2021, performing leading roles such as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (Marcelo Gomes), Basilio in Don Quijote, Ali and Lankedem in Le Corsaire (Thiago Soares), the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera (Alberto Méndez), and Maximiliano in Maximiliano y Carlota (Thiago Soares), among many others. 

In 2025, Luciano joined Ballet San Antonio (USA) as a member of the Corps de Ballet, continuing to expand his artistic career while maintaining an active presence as a guest artist internationally. In the 2025-2026 season, he performed in leading roles including Cavalier (The Nutcracker by Easton and Haley Smith) and Prince (Cinderella by Conny Mathöt).

He has performed at renowned galas and festivals across the Americas and Europe, including the Gala Internacional de Buenos Aires (Argentina), YAGP’s Stars of Today Meet the Stars of Tomorrow (USA), Gala Internacional de Ballet en Santiago de Chile (Chile), and Festival Internacional de Cancún (Mexico), among others. 

Luciano is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the Grand Prix and Capezio Award for Excellence at Youth America Grand Prix (Philadelphia 2017), the Gold Medal at the Maria Antonietta Berlusconi Award (Italy), and 1st Place at the Certamen Internacional Ciutat de Barcelona (Spain).

We are thrilled to announce Alexandra Carey has been promoted to the rank of Soloist with Ballet San Antonio for our 2026-2027 season! 🩰💫

Alexandra Carey began training with Shery Gilbert at Laguna Dance Theatre in Mission Viejo, California in 2006. She spent ten years there, working and training with dancers from around the world. In 2016, she joined San Francisco Ballet School where she performed in Helgi Tommason’s The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, as well as George Balanchine’s Stars and Stripes. 

Alexandra spent a year as a trainee with Los Angeles Ballet where she performed in Balanchine’s Western Symphony and Serenade, along with Bournonville’s La Sylphide. In 2019, Alexandra joined Eugene Ballet as an aspirant where she performed in productions created by Toni Pimble and Suzanne Haag. 

In 2022, Alexandra joined Ballet San Antonio’s Corps de Ballet. Performing both corps and soloist roles, Alexandra has performed in Conny Mathot’s Cinderella, Easton and Haley Smith’s The Nutcracker, Brian Enos’ Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, Patrick Armand’s Don Quixote, Rafael Ferreras’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Houston Thomas’ Creation #10, Bruce Well’s Beauty and the Beast, and Edwaard Liang’s Giselle.

We are thrilled to announce Logan Acker has been promoted to the rank of Soloist with Ballet San Antonio for our 2026-2027 season! 🩰🌟

Logan Acker trained for 14 years under the direction of Vlada Kysselova at International Ballet in Greenville, SC. She received additional summer training at the School of American Ballet, Chautauqua Institution, Cincinnati Ballet, and BalletMet.

In May 2022, Logan graduated summa cm laude from the University of South Carolina and the South Carolina Honors College with a B.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography. As a member of the UofSC Dance Company, she performed featured roles in George Balanchine’s Serenade, Western Symphony, Raymonda Variations, and Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet. She also performed the fast solo in excerpts from José Limón’s A Choreographic Offering, the blue soloist in Jerome Robbins’ Antique Epigraphs, and the Mazurka principal in Michel Fokine’s Les Sylphides.

Logan joined Ballet San Antonio under the direction of Sofiane Sylve as an Apprentice in 2022 and was promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2023. Her repertoire with the company includes soloist and corps roles in Conny Mathôt’s Cinderella, Easton and Haley Smith’s The Nutcracker, Brian Enos’ Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan, Rafael Ferreras’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Bruce Wells’ Beauty and the Beast, Patrick Armand’s Don Quixote, and Edwaard Liang’s Giselle.

In addition to her work at Ballet San Antonio, Logan has returned to International Ballet as a guest artist, performing soloists and principal roles in Swan Lake, Don Quixote, and excerpts from Giselle and Coppélia. In 2023, she was invited to perform as a guest dancer in OPERA San Antonio’s production of Hansel and Gretel.

As we prepare to close the weekend with Cinderella, we invite you to join us in honoring Sofie Bertolini, Principal Dancer of Ballet San Antonio, as she takes her final bow on the stage of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts tomorrow. 💐

She has been not only a mesmerizing performer, but also a mentor, leader, and beloved presence within our Ballet San Antonio family. ❤️
