Sometimes you just need to slow down to catch amazing things going on. I need to remind myself of this often. Life can get busy, hectic, and messy, sometimes enjoying the simple things allows us to take a breath and recenter. Take a moment and enjoy the sparkle. ✨

To Get Different Results, You Must Do Things Differently.

This is what I thought last night. I usually ring in the new year watching TV say happy new year, then go to bed. Last night I thought I would try something different. I started creating on this piece before midnight, and rang in the new year while working on it. I brought in 2021 creating pure joy).

Which leads to my word of the year, CREATE. I really struggled with discovering what word my word of the year was. Once I decided I wanted to create some art to ring in the new year, I knew what my word was.

Are you willing to share your word of the year? I would love to know.
What were you doing at midnight?

I have always enjoyed seeing everyone’s top nine and it’s not different for me. I thank each and every one of you for your likes, comments, shares, and saves. I did not show up as much as I would have liked, however, many things evolved, changed and shifted this year as I’m sure they did for you.
Goodbye 2020 the expectations that I had for this year were annihilated quickly. The second picture, is me having a drink for Janai .emotions, keeping it classy.

Here’s a glimpse of what is currently on my table. The first picture is a custom order botanical A, and the second picture is a peony I dried and am forever preserving.

It’s been a bit since I’ve worked with some flowers. Their colors bring me much JOY.

What’s a simple thing that brings you much JOY? I’d love to know!

My favorite white to create that lacing effect is Makin Waves.

So many possibilities with colors. Do you play around and mix colors together?
