It's hard to put this into words.

The Alamo City Street Choir had the incredible honor of opening the National Association of Teachers of Singing Conference, performing for nearly 900 singers, professors, and music educators from across the country.

There were tears. Three standing ovations. Countless conversations afterward.

But more than anything, there was joy. This joy was shared by a choir made up of people from many different walks of life, including neighbors who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness, and reminded every person in the room that music has a way of bringing us together.

We're so grateful for every singer who said yes, every volunteer who made the trip possible, and everyone who continues to believe in what this choir means to our city.
