Last night wasn’t exactly how we drew it up.
Just before tipoff, an unexpected power interruption temporarily affected the video wall at The Park at The Pearl. Despite some reports, there was never an issue with the screen itself or our equipment. The interruption was power-related and was quickly resolved, allowing the watch party to continue.
Then the rain showed up. 🌧️
But what happened next is what we’re going to remember.
Hundreds of Spurs fans stayed.
They stayed through the delay.
They stayed through the weather.
They stayed because that’s what Spurs fans do.
In a world where it’s easy to highlight when something goes wrong, we’d rather focus on everything that went right.
The community came together.
Local businesses were packed.
Families, friends, and fans shared an NBA Finals experience together.
And San Antonio once again proved why it’s one of the greatest sports cities in America.
We’re incredibly proud of our team, grateful to our partners at The Pearl, and thankful for every person who showed up and continued to bring the energy all night long.
The series may be 0-2, but we know one thing for sure…
The Spurs aren’t going down without a fight.
And neither are Spurs fans.
We’ll see you for Game 3.
GO SPURS GO! 🖤🤍🏀
