Johnson Theatre The Claudia Taylor Ladybird Johnson Jaguar High School Theatre is an amazing theatre arts program located in San Antonio, TX. We hope to see you at the theatre!

The award-winning Johnson High School Theatre Department produces a broad spectrum of shows each year, giving our students exposure to all aspects of performing arts. The year routinely kicks off with a classical show on the Main Auditorium Stage in the fall, followed soon after by an engaging performance in our intimate Black Box theatre.The department then combines forces with the choir and orchestra/band departments to produce an annual blockbuster musical production in early February. The musical is followed by the UIL One-Act Play competition and a public performance in late March. The season concludes by giving our Seniors the opportunity to select, cast, produce, and fully immerse themselves in the role of Director in a series of Senior Directed plays in our Black Box theatre at the end of May. Johnson High School is one of seven high schools that are part of the North East Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. It is a 6A school with a current student population of approximately 3,200. The school is located north of San Antonio at 23203 Bulverde Road.

Our Fall Show is on sale now! 🐟🚪🐠🚪

Noises Off! was created by Michael Frayn in 1982 and who doesn't like anything created in the 80's? It is a high energy comedy that involves only 9 members in the entire cast. Come meet Dotty, Lloyd, Garry, Brooke, Frederick, Belinda, Tim, Poppy, and Selsdon, a Theatre Troupe, who perform a play within a play giving the audience a behind-the-scenes look of the pure chaos that ensues during this production. As the chaos unfolds, will they make it through the entire show?! Everything is falling apart... they are forgetting their lines and missing their cues, relationships are on the rocks, props are frustrating, but the show MUST go on! Also, lots of plates of SARDINES 🐟🐟🐟 Come see how this all comes together and laugh all along the way!

Noises Off! will run September 23rd-25th at 7:00pm and September 26th at 1:00pm. This is Homecoming weekend and it shows just how dedicated these thespians are;)

Songs for a New World is about one critical moment: hitting a wall in life and having to make a choice, take a stand, or turn back. It uses a blend of pop, jazz, and gospel music to tell diverse, standalone stories about surviving change and facing the unknown.
