Shout out to Dos Carolinas for being nominated Best Locally Made Product in the San Antonio Current Best of 2024.

Designer/proprietress Caroline Matthews has been a huge supporter of our San-Havana Project (BTW, a new art show is going up in San Antonio International Airport next month, stay tuned!) Dos Carolinas sent our artists Gary Sweeney, Ricky Armendariz and Anthony Garcia to Cuba with a variety of custom guayaberas, plus gave us sponsorship as well. THEN, they hosted a San-Havana photo exhibit in their Historic Pearl location. (This is still up if you haven't seen it yet.)

I'll make an official event but want to put this on your radar. Next month we will be featuring work at Blue Star from four Cuban artists as part of the San-Havana Project. These artists all live in Havana and will not be coming to this show, but that's a future aspiration. Featured artists: San Jorge Art, Santana Eduardo, Jehannie Cardoso Leyva, Jormay Gonzales Monduy. This project was facilitated with the help of our coordinator in Cuba. Yosiet Quintero.

She’s put together a fabulous Cuban menu for this Sunday’s Artists' Talk & Cuban Popup featuring San-Havana Project artists Gary Sweeney, Ricky Armendariz and Anthony Garcia (Jojodancer Photography). This is a one-of-a-kind event and a portion of the proceeds support the San-Havana art project. In February, we'll be showing work from four Cuban artists Blue Star, so stay tuned.
