The San Antonio River runs between the grassy steps (where the audience is seated) and the performance stage. There are many performances (both free and by admission fee) here throughout the year. Notable performances include Fiesta Noche del Rio, a seasonal outdoor performance featuring the songs and dances of Mexico, Spain, Argentina and Texas, Christmas Caroling and Holiday events (after Thanksgiving and leading up to Christmas) and much more.
