João Pedro Marques / JPM ARTS PAINTINGS
João Pedro Marques is a self-thaught artist born 1988 in Lisbon, Portugal.
His style is influenced by abstract expressionism, surrealism, neo-expressionism and sometimes in a “dystopian” way.
His painting has 2 stages:
1st stage: The chaotic stage
It´s the spontaneous and “madness” stage where all brush and ink gestures. It is expectable gestualism, strong strokes, pouring in this stage.
2nd stage: The intentional reason
It´s the stage where all chaos and spontaneity it´s controled and shaped. Details, shapes, reason and meaning are develop and takes the end of the painting.
The painting it´s finish when all thoughts and emotions are projected in it. And nothing more can be done after.
João Pedro Marques describes his style as visceral and onirical abstract expressionism.
After he participated in some internathional and nathional exhibitions, he tries to reach the world.
