What a productive Saturday. Woke up made some pie crust dough for empanadas. Then made some fresh butter to restock our freezer. Husband let me know our neighbor is having a birthday party today so we picked up some gifts and I whipped up the bag to carry them all. Empanadas filled and in the oven.

Creating custom items is a process. One that starts with communication and expectations for both myself and the purchaser.

I collaborated with the buyer on what they wanted, their vision, and deadline. Together we came up with this design and along the way added details like the hidden "❤️ Mom" tag. It's embroidered with glow in the dark thread so no matter where he goes he'll carry her light and love.

Everybody's journey starts somewhere. I learned to sew in high school taking a beginner class. In 2018 I was 1 year away from finishing my Bachelor's and knew I needed something else to fill my time, so I picked up sewing after a decade of rarely touching my machine.

It all started with this tiny lap quilt I made for my grandma. Since then, I have my own sewing room, I've grown my fabric collection, David had custom shelves put in, and more machines than my heart could desire. I'm extremely blessed in so many ways ❤️

My least favorite part of the quilting process is the actual quilting! Hence the use of my multineedle embroidery machine.
