Last year I hosted my first Build a Harp Workshop. It was a blast and because we have a whole crew of harp players we can now beginner my first Adult Beginner's Harp Class. Thurs 7-8pm. We specialize in working with beginner adults, relearning adults and musical tools for healing, stress management, and meditative practice. We teach kids too! Online and In Person Music Lessons and Wellness Workshops in the Southtown Arts District of San Antonio, TX. Saturday at 2:30 during our art market - Pamela Martinez previews “ A Song of Water”, new music she’s composed for her performing group Teletextile.

Martinez is a composer musician and creator who specializes in immersive performance that centers around music. Martinez is also the founder of Southtown Music Studio which emphasizes music as a healing and meditative practice for individuals of all ages.

Martinez host monthly sound baths at Mercury Project and the Divine Choir a vocal based meditative group. “A Song of Water” is a work in progress for The DAM! series, three performances that take place at dams across San Antonio, Tx. The first at Espada Dam October 9, 2022, the second at Lake Elmendorf 19th St. Dam March 4, 2023 and the third at Roosevelt Tunnel Outlet March 22, 2023. DAM! Artist Highlight: Zach Sokoloski will be Sunday’s Gong Guru! Pamela and Zach have been partnering in Sound Baths for over a year now. Zach is a meditation teacher (and student), teaches philosophy at as well as English teacher at Anne Frank Inspire Academy (AFIA), a vegan, a dog dad and has more then one rock band with his kick ass partner In addition named Zach co- “Teacher of the Year” in their program. PETA says “Through research projects, field trips to meet rescued pigs, and much more, Sokoloski and Calamars are helping their high school students explore the animal issues they’re passionate about—and, along the way, teaching them compassion for all sentient beings.”
