Our upcoming concert is almost here, and this is your last chance to join us for an evening of Songs of the Mediterranean.
On Friday, May 23 at 7:30 PM, Marin Baroque presents a program exploring musical traditions shaped by centuries of connection across the Mediterranean world. Drawing from Jewish, Christian, and Islamic cultures, the program features Ladino songs, Greek Romaniot repertoire, and Ottoman court music—including works preserved by Dimitrie Cantemir—brought to life in collaboration with the Qadim Ensemble.
Rather than a single tradition, this program offers a rich, interconnected sound world—where plucked strings, percussion, modal melodies, and ornamented lines reflect a shared history of movement, exchange, and adaptation.
Whether you’re familiar with early music or simply curious to hear something new, this is a rare opportunity to experience these traditions live in an intimate setting.
Tickets are still available, but seating is limited—reserve yours now and join us for an evening of depth, color, and connection.
