🎨 OFFICIAL MASCOT DESIGN CONTEST IS COMING! 🎨
Have you ever wanted to leave your mark on Anime San Angelo and San Angelo Comic Con?
We're looking for serious artists to create an original character (OC) that could become the official mascot for one of our conventions!
📢 Full contest rules, submission guidelines, and dates will be announced later this week.
How it works:
🖌️ Artist Submissions – Artists will have a designated submission period to send in their original mascot designs.
⭐ Convention Team Review – Our team will review every entry and select a group of finalists.
🗳️ Community Voting – The finalists will be revealed, and our community will vote for the winning mascots.
🏆 Winners will be announced at next year's conventions!
Winning artists will receive:
🎨 A FREE Artist Booth at the next event.
🏅 Their character becoming the official mascot of Anime San Angelo or San Angelo Comic Con.
🤝 An invitation to join the Convention Team and collaborate on future art projects and opportunities.
Each submission should include:
• Character name
• Short backstory
• Why they would be the perfect mascot

Exciting Things Are Coming — And We Need Your Help!
As we look ahead to next year's conventions, we're excited to share some of the projects and opportunities we have planned for our amazing community!
🎨 Mascot Design Contest
We're going to be launching a community mascot contest! Artists will be invited to submit their original mascot concepts, and our convention team will select several finalists for the community to vote on. The winning design will become the official mascot for both San Angelo Comic Con and Anime San Angelo! More details, rules, and submission dates will be announced soon.
🤝 Community Meetups
We're also working toward creating a community group that will meet regularly throughout the year. These in-person meetups will be a chance to share ideas, voice concerns, discuss future plans, and receive convention updates in real time. We want everyone to have an opportunity to help shape the future of our events.
🌟 We're Looking for You!
As planning continues, we'll be reaching out for:

Cosplayers
Panel hosts and workshop ideas
Performers
Volunteers
Community partners
And so much more!
Whether you've been with us since the beginning or you're looking to get involved for the first time, we'd love to have you be part of what we're building.
None of this happens without our community. Your creativity, passion, feedback, and support are what make these conventions possible.
Will there be obstacles? Absolutely.
Will there be challenges, concerns, and moments of doubt? Of course.
But if we continue working together, supporting one another, and building this community as a team, we truly believe next year can be our biggest and best year yet.

San Angelo Comic Con and Anime San Angelo are officially looking for cosplay guests for next year's events, and we want to hear from YOU!
Do you know a cosplayer who would be an amazing fit for our conventions? Whether they're an incredible costume maker, talented performer, experienced panelist, or someone who brings positive energy to every event they attend, tag them in the comments below!
The cosplay guests who receive the most nominations will be among the first people we reach out to as we begin building our guest lineup for next year's conventions.

To all of our amazing fans and supporters,
Due to ongoing technical difficulties, the Anime San Angelo social media pages will not be returning. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these issues.
Going forward, ALL official news, announcements, guest reveals, vendor applications, and convention updates for BOTH Anime San Angelo and San Angelo Comic Con will be posted through the official San Angelo Comic Con social media pages.
We're also hard at work creating a new online home for our events, so be on the lookout for updates as we launch a new third-party website where you'll be able to find everything you need in one place.

One of the greatest parts of San Angelo Comic Con is getting to witness the incredible talent that exists within our cosplay community. From breathtaking craftsmanship and intricate costume design to unforgettable character performances and pure creativity, this year's Cosplay Contest showcased some truly amazing competitors.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to every single participant who stepped onto that stage and shared their hard work with us. Whether you placed or not, your dedication, courage, and love for the hobby helped make this event something special.
A special congratulations goes out to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Winners, who demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship, attention to detail, character portrayal, stage presence, creativity, and that indescribable "wow factor" that left both the audience and judges amazed.
We would also like to thank our incredible judges for the difficult task of evaluating such talented competitors. Their combined experience and careful consideration helped identify the best of the best from an already outstanding field of contestants.
Most importantly, thank you to the cosplay community itself. Every stitch sewn, prop crafted, wig styled, armor painted, and character brought to life helps inspire the next generation of creators and performers. You are what makes this community such an incredible place to belong.
The bar has been set high, but we already know you'll raise it even higher next year.
