I play a game with the kids called "4 Beats After," and they really enjoy it.
They have to stay focused all the time and keep their eyes on the leader, which helps develop concentration and attention. It's challenging for the leader as well - you always have to think ahead about what comes next because there can't be any pauses. Everything follows the steady beat.
Singing works the same way:you always have to stay alert and think ahead. Music doesn't wait.
