Oil Pastels Artist

This piece is an homage to the great artist Diego Rivera.

I actually created this back in 2009 in art school, for an assignment where the task was to reproduce the work of a master artist. Stepping into the shoes of a legend to study composition, color, and technique was such a humbling and eye-opening way to learn.

This piece also showed me what oil pastels were capable of. I haven't looked back ever since!

I'm still really fond of how this study turned out. I hope you enjoy it.

Experimenting with some neon oil pastels. Pushing the limits of color vibration with this stippled texture.

I love how these fluorescent tones add a glow that standard pigments just can't quite hit. 🖍️🎨✨

What paper do you use for oil pastels? 🤔
