Our boys and girls put on an incredible show for Saluda County! Both our 10U All-Star Softball girls and our Ozone All-Star Baseball boys brought home hardware from Laurel, Mississippi, making our community proud.

Our 10U girls came out strong, dominating the competition from the very first pitch. They remained undefeated through most of the tournament and showcased outstanding teamwork, determination, and heart. Their incredible run ended in a hard-fought championship game, where they fell just short in a heartbreaking loss to Alabama. While the outcome wasn’t what they hoped for, they represented Saluda County with class every step of the way as World Series Runner-Up.

Our Ozone boys displayed nothing but grit and resilience throughout the tournament. They battled through every challenge to earn a spot in the Division II DYB World Series Championship Game. Facing a talented Texas team, they left everything on the field but ultimately fell just short, finishing as Division II DYB World Series Runner-Up. Their determination, heart, and refusal to back down were evident every step of the way, and they represented Saluda County with tremendous pride.

To every one of our boys and girls, I hope this has been a summer you’ll never forget. Keep working, keep believing in yourselves, and continue representing our beloved Saluda County with pride. The banners and trophies are special, but the memories, friendships, and lessons you’ve gained will last a lifetime.

To our coaches and parents—thank you. Your countless hours, sacrifices, and unwavering support are what make opportunities like this possible. Your dedication to these young athletes does not go unnoticed, and your impact extends far beyond the ballfield.

And to our supporters, sponsors, and donors—thank you for investing in the youth of our community. Your generosity gave these teams the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage, create lifelong memories, and proudly represent Saluda County in Mississippi. Your support is a vital part of what makes our community so special.

Congratulations once again to all of our players, coaches, and families. Two World Series Runner-Up finishes are an incredible accomplishment, and all of Saluda County is proud of you. The future is bright! Speedy

💜🥎 Saluda Recreation Shines at the 2026 DYS Softball State Tournament! 🥎💜

Saluda Recreation was well represented this weekend in Orangeburg and Bluffton, and our girls made our community incredibly proud!

⭐ 12U – Played their hearts out and competed with determination all weekend long.

⭐ 8U – After a heartbreaking loss in their first game, these girls showed tremendous grit and battled all the way through the losers bracket to finish 3rd in the state tournament!

🏆 10U – What an incredible run! They went undefeated and are your 2026 DYS Softball State Champions!

I couldn’t be more proud of these young ladies. Their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and love for the game were on full display this weekend. Thank you to our coaches, parents, and supporters who have been there every step of the way.

These girls represented Saluda with pride, heart, and sportsmanship.

The Saluda Recreation Department proudly had 7 teams compete in the District 3 Baseball and Softball Tournaments this season. Out of those teams, an incredible 6 have earned a spot in the South Carolina State Tournaments!

🥎 8U Girls – Orangeburg
🥎 10U Girls – Orangeburg
🥎 12U Girls – Bluffton
⚾ Coach Pitch – Cheraw
⚾ Rookie Ball – Orangeburg
⚾ Ozone – Greenwood

While our Minors team fell just short this year, we want to recognize their outstanding effort and determination. They battled their way to the District Championship Game and represented Saluda with heart, grit, and sportsmanship every step of the way.

To all of our players, boys and girls,hold your heads high and wear your jerseys with pride. As you head to state, remember that you are representing not only your team, but the entire Saluda community. We are proud of your hard work, your character, and the way you represent your hometown both on and off the field.
