Nitya Nritya Dance Company Nitya Nritya Dance Company was established in Salt Lake City, UT by Jyothsna Sainath in 2014 as a Bharatanatyam performing and training company.

Jyothsna Sainath is a Bharatanatyam dancer, choreographer and teacher based in Salt Lake City in Utah. As a dancer Jyothsna has a penchant for experimenting with themes that speak to a wide cross section of our society while maintaining the richness and integrity of Bharatanatyam technique. Most recently, she premiered a solo production on the tumultuous life of a pioneering Indian queen Rani Chen

namma of Kitturu from the 1800s. Jyothsna has been a student of renowned Gurus, namely the late Guru Narmada, Guru Radha Sridhar and late Guru Padmini Ramachandran. She has also learnt the Karanas from late Guru Sundari Santhanam, a senior student of the scholar Guru Dr. Padma Subramaniam. Jyothsna’s performance and choreography are informed by these various influences. Jyothsna has an MA in Performing Arts from Bangalore University and is an auditioned A grade solo performer for Doordarshan National Network. The Artistic Director of Nitya Nritya Dance Company (a dance performing and training company), Jyothsna is also the President of Nitya Nritya Foundation (a non-profit), both of which are located in Salt Lake City.
