I have seen this industry change in such a positive way in the last 20 years. I spent the first 15 years of piercing in San Diego where I owned and ran a shop. During that time I was a founding member of the California Alliance for the Promotion of Safe Body Art (CAPSBA). This is a non-profit organization that worked directly with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CEHA (Cali

fornia Environmental Health Association) to help create health regulations for San Diego and then the State of California. I moved to Salt Lake City and have been piercing here for about 4 years.
