PTC’s Insider’s Access Series offers subscribers a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the artistry that brings each production to life. This optional add-on—available exclusively to PTC Subscribers for $30 for the full season—invites audiences to deepen their connection to the theatre through 6 engaging, 1-hour Saturday morning conversations held at 11AM in the auditorium on the first Saturday of each production’s run.

Each facilitated discussion features designers, directors, and creative team members, highlighting a different facet of theatre-making—from set and costume design to choreography and dramaturgy—giving participants a richer understanding of the collaborative process behind Pioneer Theatre Company productions. Attendees will enjoy light refreshments, receive a digital pass for all sessions, gain early access to Backstage Theatre Tour sign-ups, and become more informed, connected, and engaged members of the PTC community.

Pioneer Theatre Company is thrilled to welcome our new Director of Marketing & Communications, Taylor Ybarra!

Taylor Ybarra (he/they) is an arts leader with expertise in cultivating audiences, innovating marketing endeavors, and expanding the impact of the theater ecosystem through values-based leadership, civic engagement, and a practice rooted in the artistic.

Taylor led audience development efforts for Yale Repertory Theatre in his capacity as Associate Director of Marketing and Communications. From world premieres of thrilling plays like Zora Neale Hurston’s S***k to reimaginings of classics like Nikolai Gogol’s The Inspector, Taylor created new ways of connecting the work of Yale Rep with its New Haven audiences through affinity nights, personalized engagement, and digital channel innovation.

Before joining Yale Rep’s marketing team, Taylor deepened the relationship between New Haven audiences and theater making in his Community Partnership position at the Tony Award Winning Long Warf Theatre. Additionally, they served as Associate Director of Marketing and Communications for Yale Schwarzman Center, a performing arts nexus of Yale’s campus life. From directing marketing campaigns for new opera to revitalizing the experience and perception of the Center’s in-house pub, Taylor led staff and stakeholders toward a unified brand engagement strategy.

Originally from the Bay Area, California, Taylor has spent his life both on- and behind-stage. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and his Master of Fine Arts degree in Theater Management from Yale University’s David Geffen School of Drama. A lifelong learner, Taylor is passionate about supporting the vast opportunities university engagement offers and is thrilled to be joining University of Utah’s campus as Pioneer Theatre Company’s Director of Marketing and Communication.
