After running a vintage camper photo booth for the last few years, there's one thing I always tell couples before their wedding:
Don't be afraid to ask for specific props.

Seriously.

Tell me if you're hoping for something that fits your theme.
A sign with your new last name.
A favorite movie.
A hobby you both love.
An inside joke only your friends will understand.

If you don't tell me, I'll bring my favorite tried-and-true props.
They're fun, but they're not your story.

The best weddings are full of little personal touches.
Your photo booth should be too. 📸✨

Here's the one step I see people skip all the time, and it always makes me a little sad.

They don't tell me what they want on their photo strip.

I get it.

When you're planning a wedding or event, choosing wording or colors for a photo strip feels tiny compared to everything else on your list.

But that one little detail makes a huge difference.

When I know your name, event colors, theme, and maybe even an inside joke, I can create something that feels like you.

Instead of another generic design.

So here's my advice:

Tell me everything.

The little details are usually the ones that make your keepsake the most meaningful. ❤️

Hey! We're off making memories of our own.
We'll be back soon after exploring somewhere beautiful, eating too much ice cream, and reminding ourselves why slowing down matters.

The one I actually send:

Thanks for reaching out! We're currently out of the office and will get back to you as soon as we return.

Truthfully? We love celebrating our clients.

But we've learned it's just as important to celebrate our own family too. ❤️

Looking back...

Buying the Photo Camper when our daughter wasn't even one year old probably wasn't the "logical" decision.

We were hauling a camper.
Renovating it.
Learning an entirely new business.
All while raising a baby.

It was a little crazy.

But I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Because this little camper has become part of our family's story.
Our girls have grown up helping with events.

We've celebrated hundreds of milestones with other families.

And somehow, this business has grown right alongside us.
Sometimes the best decisions don't make perfect sense on paper.

They just end up becoming part of the life you were meant to build.

For me, rest almost always starts outside.

Sometimes it's a hike.
Sometimes it's sitting by the water.
Sometimes it's just watching my girls explore while I take a deep breath.

Is it always relaxing?

Not exactly. 😂
But it always restores something in me that feels a little worn out.

Nature has a way of reminding me to slow down.
To look up.
To breathe deeper.
To remember that not every moment has to be productive.

So today, for National Relaxation Day, here's your reminder to step outside if you can.

There was a time I worried we weren't quite as Pinterest-perfect as some of the other camper photo booths out there.

Reality usually looked more like setting up while keeping an eye on a toddler and a preschooler proudly "helping,” while trying to remember where Roger put the extension cords. 😂

Somewhere along the way, I realized something.

People don't book Photo Camper because every corner is perfectly styled.

They book it because they want their guests to laugh.
To be goofy.
To create memories together.

The vintage camper might catch your eye.

But the joy inside it is what people remember.

That's exactly how we like it.

Most couples think the difference comes down to better props, better lighting, or somehow knowing the perfect pose.

I'm officially entering my preschool mom era. 🥹

How is that even possible?

Madi is heading off to preschool, and life is about to look a little different.

I'm so excited for her.
Proud of her.
Maybe just a tiny bit emotional too.

I'll have some extra time (emphasis on some because Evie is still keeping me very busy. 😂)

It's funny how every season of motherhood feels impossible while you're in it, until suddenly it's over and you're stepping into something new.

One thing that's gotten so much easier this year?

Setting up the Photo Camper.

Believe it or not, there was a time when event setup felt completely chaotic.

Now we've found our rhythm.

Roger parks, levels the camper, and gets all the tech ready.

Madi helps me set up the seating area and organize the props.

And Evie…
Evie mostly supervises by getting into absolutely everything. 😂

It's funny how the things that once felt overwhelming slowly become second nature.

Practice doesn't make perfect.

It just makes things feel a whole lot lighter.

The question we get asked most: "Is it basically a photo booth rental?"

That's a fair question, but it might not be the question you actually need answered.

Because what most people are really wondering is:

Not just show up.
Not just pass through.
