"My husband visited his mother in the hospital alone because she ""needed peace"" — a month later, I finally went there myself, and a nurse handed me a NOTE that made my knees give out.
My mother-in-law, Patricia, suffered a stroke and had to remain in the hospital under doctors' supervision for a while.
The first few times, I went with my husband, Michael, to visit her.
Then, suddenly, he started going alone.
Every time I offered to come along, he'd say:
""Honey, Mom needs peace and quiet right now. Besides, the hospital is pretty far from home. I'll check on her and come straight back.""
A few weeks later, Patricia was transferred to the rehabilitation wing of the same hospital.
I even gave Michael money to help pay her hospital bills because her insurance wasn't covering even half of the costs.
He'd hug me and tell me I was helping save his mother's life.
For nearly a month, Michael visited his mother alone.
He said the doctors still insisted that only he should visit his mom.
And I believed him.
A few days ago, Michael left on a three-day business trip.
Yesterday, Patricia's doctor called me.
She explained that Michael wasn't answering his phone, so she contacted me instead.
She said I needed to come immediately because Patricia's condition had suddenly worsened.
I got into my car and drove there without hesitation.
I was running through the hospital corridors looking for Patricia's room when a nurse stopped me.
She handed me a folded note and whispered:
""I'm the one who called you. Read this immediately. YOUR HUSBAND IS LYING TO YOU.""
My hands were already shaking before I opened the note.
Inside, it said:
""Go to Room 120. I'll show you the security camera footage. Please stay calm and don't tell anyone.""
I walked into the office.
The nurse was sitting there, staring at a monitor.
She motioned for me to sit down and turned the screen toward me.
The moment she pressed play on the surveillance footage, I nearly collapsed from what I saw.
I screamed:
""My God... so THAT'S what he's been doing. MICHAEL, YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THIS!"" ⬇️
