Hello everyone! Now that spring is here, people will be getting their yards in order and decorating for the summer. Please be on the look-out for these sculptures. I was robbed twice this winter, and lost a lot of artwork. I'm still hoping to find the ones responsible, and if my work shows up anywhere, I'd appreciate it if you could contact me. I've already made police reports, so I can relay tips to the police.

If possible, send pictures of suspect artwork so I can verify if it's a stolen item (I don't want honest clients who's bought my work in the past getting pestered by accident).

The vulture and rock birds are unique pieces. I've never sold similar items, so if you see those, they're definitely stolen.
But the armadillos and flying pigs I've sold before. The ones that were taken had some unique designs: the armadillos were covered in welded lines, squiggles and dots. The flying pigs had large blue marble eyes.
The picture of the vulture was taken when I first crafted it. It's now covered in rust.

If you see any of these, please contact me here on FB or email: [email protected] Any help or tips would be fantastic.

Thank you

Been a while since I posted anything here, and sadly it's some bad news.

Around Oct. 2-3, someone stole one of my sculptures. It was the large Scrapuzzard that was sitting on my back patio. If anyone here in the Salt Lake Valley happens to see it, or hears it, or comes across it online, please let me know!

Here's the pictures of it. These photo's were taken when I first made it. It's now completely covered in rust.

3ft tall x 2ft wide. Weighs 50lbs. Body is made from scrap metal bits, rebar and sheet metal. Has distinctive green marble eyes.

Thanks all!

My week of artistic crunch-time has come to a close! There's still a handful of things I'd wanted to make, but I think I have a good assortment for July 4th.

You lot who live in Salt Lake City should swing by Sugarhouse on the 4th and say hi! There's a street festival that day on Highland Drive and 2100 S. My brother Nathan, who's a photographer, is sharing a booth with me this year. So swing by and show his awesome landscapes some love!

Chillin here at the start of the new year. I have a few things to work on, namely a new work bench for my home so I have somewhere to work that isn't the living room floor.

Haven't spent much time building functional things, so this work bench is a lot of experimentation. The shelving is going to be removable. I'm making a removable, hinged packing shelf that'll attach to the side of the table, and will hold all the stuff I need to pack sculptures for shipping. I'm also planning to try my hand at making a large drawer. I'm pretty sure hardware stores sell those nice sliding tracks that you see in filing cabinets.

Today is painting day. I'm finishing up a very cool Lab urn, and will be working on painting it for the next couple of days (or rather, waiting for that silly paint to dry between coats)

Its always interesting to me how sculptures, using the same patterns, can turn out very different from each other, and even different from the original design.

You would think, using the same patterns, built the same way (or very similar) you would get the same results. But many times I've built things that.... I honestly couldn't tell you how I even got the pieces to fit the way they did the first time, because they refused to fit the same way the 2nd or 3rd time. Not to mention the random pieces that obviously had a purpose in the original design, but for the life of me I can't recall what it was.

It can be very frustrating sometimes, having things not fit correctly. But it's awesome as well, because I have to change how it looks, and figure out how to take those odd-fitting things and turn them into something cohesive and natural looking.

Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know that my Etsy shop is up and running again!

Due to my new status as a multiple-part-time-job-holder, crafting times are going to take longer then they use to, since I have far less time to spend in my shop. But I will continue to make high quality and creative sculptures. So hit me up if there's something you want!

Hi everyone! I have not dropped off the face of the earth, I've just been very busy. I'm exploring the exciting and stressful world of coordinating 2 jobs and their respective schedules. I also had a minor medical issue that interfered with life for about a week during the beginning of August. So I am still here, just not quite in a position to open the Etsy shop yet.

If I received an order prior to going on hiatus, I am working on it, it's just going a tad slow due to time constraints. I will be opening my Etsy shop soon as that's done.

Sm. Ent Female
I can now add small Ent Females to my patterns! This one is scaled down to about 8in tall, making her more robust then my taller Ents.

Always happens. If I'm going to run out of something I absolutely need, its either 10min before the shop closes, or in the middle of the weekend when the shop is closed.

In this case, my welding helmet battery finally died to the point where it was unsafe for me to continue welding. And of course it had to do this right when Praxair was closing for the day, so I had to cut my day short until I can go get new batteries tomorrow.

I am thinking of putting my Etsy shop on hiatus for a month or two so I can work on a couple big projects. These are things that I have been neglecting for a very long time, or things I forgot about until recently.

I love that I'm getting orders online. You guys are helping to support me while I'm unemployed, and I really appreciate that. I've been getting more orders then I expected!

But it also means that I always seem to be busy with a new order, or tweaking an old design, and so I have larger projects languishing, and it's really getting to me. I could start putting Etsy orders on longer holds... but then I start feeling bad about making people wait so long.

Haven't decided when I'm going to do this. I currently have a handful of orders to make still. And I may hold off until I can find a job, at which point I'll have to go on hiatus, since I simply won't have time during the weekdays.

I'll let you all know what I decide.
