Ya’ll really responded to the tea balls so I made a crap ton more. I brought them home so I can get them painted and glazed before my next market. I’m doing lots of rainbows and rainbow colored flowers. I think I’ll do a bunch with trans flag colors. What design would you like to see on a tea ball charm? I’m getting as many of these as I can done before the weekend so they can get fired in time for SLC Pride
As a reminder SLC Pride changed locations this year. It’s being held in and around the intersection of 400 N 400 W. It’s sure to be super fantastic just like the last two years!

Remember those marbled clay mugs I threw? Well, they came out of the kiln and they are pretty damn cute. These mugs will be making their debut this Saturday at the Fireweed Market a long with a bunch of other things that haven’t been to market yet. What else, you ask? New straw cups, pie plates, tea ball charms with tea ball, book holders, and new buttons made from papaya dragonfruit clay! Ya’ll, I haven’t done a market since December. I have so much new stuff so you really should come out on Saturday and check it out.
Love you all! See you then!

The Gnome Army is ready for It’s coming up fast in under two weeks! There are a few more Gnome Friends out there getting things prepared for the market. They were too busy to make it into the group photo. Gnomes are a very industrious bunch.

How to be a successful artist:
1. Make art that helps you process the feelings that you need to process. That could be just the feeling “I need to make art.” Maybe it is joy or grief or anger.
2. Share your art and see how it makes other people feel. It could be a different feeling that you were processing while making your art.
3. Repeat.
To be successful, you don’t have to monetize your art though many of us do. It’s a trap to think that the art you make needs to be for other people. Your art is a part of you and it is not right or wrong. Making cutesy things like these pie plates brings me joy through the whole process. I hope they also bring you joy but maybe they bring you something else. Maybe they revoke nostalgia or sadness. Those things are ok too.
I love you all. Tell your friends you love them, make it weird.
