Friendly Island Tongan Festival to Continue in 2026 with Community Support
August 14β15, 2026 | Jordan Park, Salt Lake City, Utah
Salt Lake City, UT β The National Tongan American Society (NTAS) proudly announces that the 28th Annual Friendly Island Tongan Festival will move forward this year on August 14th and 15th, 2026.
Due to ongoing budget cuts affecting nonprofit organizations, this yearβs festival will be shortened to two days. While adjustments are necessary, our mission remains the same: to bring our community together and celebrate the rich culture, traditions, and heritage of the Friendly Islands of Tonga.
For over 27 years, this festival has been a cornerstone of our community by uniting families, uplifting cultural pride, and showcasing the strength and resilience of our people. Beyond the festival, NTAS continues to serve the community through immigration and citizenship assistance, voter engagement, youth programs, and ongoing outreach that impacts hundreds of families each year.
Even in challenging times, we remain committed to our people and our culture. This festival is more than an event, it is our identity, our story, and our legacy. No matter the size, we will continue to gather and celebrate who we are.
