It's that time of year! 🧜‍♀️🧜🧜‍♂️
Applications are open until February 28th at midnight! You can find the link on our profile! Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Court of Mermaids is a volunteer organization. We volunteer our time, costumes, and talent so we can perform at public events to inspire and uplift our communities while raising money for conservation.
- You don't need to own a tail, but it is preferable that you do or plan to in the near future. We have a limited selection of tails available for lending to our mers who lack their own, but cannot guarantee having the appropriate size or style for your mersona.
- You MUST live within 50 miles of the Salt Lake Valley. The majority of our events happen between Ogden and Provo. You have to be able to provide your own transportation.
- We are looking for people who love their characters, love performing, and love supporting a good cause.
- We have to ask that only those over the age of 18 apply.

To keep our admittance process as unbiased as possible, our applications are based on a point system. Here are a few tips:
- Have your character in mind before applying. Take a look at our website (link in bio) and the personas we already have in our pod. Get inspired and be creative! We want to know who you plan to perform as. Your ability to create a character is as important on your application as your swimming ability.
- We attend pool events regularly. Being a certified freediver, mermaid freediver, lifeguard, etc. will give you more points.
- If you have questions, please email us! We want you to be prepared so you have the best chance possible!

Mermaid Cimorene, “Cinnamon” to her friends, grew up in the Bay of Biscay, west of France in the Atlantic Ocean. Cimorene’s favorite hobby is collecting and learning about seashells and molluscs - the animals that grow seashells as their homes! While she can be shy at first, she is very outgoing, and eager to make new friends.
