In August 2021 was introduced. A collection of essays, poetry, photography and art by 14 Palestinian women in Gaza and 3 American women in SLC. This zine was a limited run of 100. Printed through a small press and hand-assembled in a unique and imaginative book form, all sales went to the 14 artists in Gaza.
In response to the shocking and horrific bombings in Gaza, that continue to decimate civilian life daily, we are announcing a second limited printing of the Paper Boats zine, the 2021 collaborative project of Asma’a Abdu, Alaa Alhattab, Nour AlSaqqa, Israa Alsigaly, Kholoud Balata, Dina Erheem, Hanan Habashi, Raedah Habboub, Malak Hijazi, Sahar Kalloub, Amena Shabana, Haya Sahar Issa, Nadya Siyam, Angela Brown, Tamrika Khvtisiashvili, and Adela Rahmati, of poetry and visual art. All proceeds go directly to the makers in Gaza. Check out the feature in SLUG to learn more and to order (links in bio). The original launch of Paper Boats zine was in partnership with MDOCS storytellers institute.
