Don't miss hearing the gifted musicians of The New Baroque Soloists under their music director Doug Myers, and the chance to meet with them after the concert. These concerts are free although a donation of $20 is suggested. Vaccination and masks required

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

The New Baroque Soloists under their Musical Director, Doug Myers, will be back for their annual concerts this year, streaming only!

Unfortunately we are unable to have a live audience due to current restrictions, this is a blow to everyone, however we will be recording the concerts in St John's Church with its superb acoustics as always, and will be making them available on YouTube on Thursdays from 5 o’clock on.

They can be accessed directly from our web site, northwestmusicassociation.com , via a button labeled "YouTube". The recordings will be available from 5pm, Thursday July 22, 29 & August 5, 12. We will be leaving all the concerts up on YouTube for people to view at their leisure for an extended period. The programs will be printed before each concert on our website, plus I have asked Doug to announce each piece.

We are excited to welcome these wonderful musicians again, many of whom are internationally known for their solo and ensemble playing, and are well known to us.

Although this is not ideal, we hope that you will be able to sit in comfy chairs with your favorite drink in hand and enjoy the music.

The members of the Board and I hope you are all managing to find ways to enjoy music and keep healthy during these difficult times. We all know the many restrictions on our movements and meetings etc. have been put in place for our safety, but as the days go by, they can seem to be Oh so onerous. Don’t give up now, we will beat this thing.

Unfortunately, we were unable to bring you either in-person or virtual concerts this season, therefore, as I said in my letter at the beginning of the season, we will be sending the donations we received from you to Doug Myers, the Director of The New Baroque Soloists, for him to disburse to the talented and professional musicians that have played such wonderful music for us. Therefore, a very big thank you to all who donated, making this gift possible.

We are all hoping that there will be a vaccine and the concerts can take place next year. In the meantime stay well and healthy.
