What exactly IS Arts & Artisans? What can you expect when you walk in? What is thing all about, anyway?
First of all, we are a creator space. We have space for makers to make, and equipment to make it with! Ten sewing machines, from a basic mechanical machine, to a 7x12" embroidery and quilting machine, to a serger for a professional finish, nearly any kind of sewing project can be made in the creator space! Three Cricut machines, from a portable Joy for quick projects, to a Maker 3 for more intensive projects, you can make t-shirt designs, signs, cards, and so much more! We have heat presses in various sizes to finish the project, from a mini press, to a full-sized clamshell press. There is a 3D printer for making fun projects. We have beading looms and beadwork supplies! Small wire looms, large wooden looms, beading mats, and jewelry-making tools. Is painting your thing? Coloring? You can find paints and brushes, colored pencils, alcohol markers, oil pastels, and more! We have yarn and yarn kits for crochet and knitting. Air dry clay kits, rainbow loom supplies, alcohol inks, even a bit of leatherworking materials!
Second, we are a retail shop. You can purchase works made by artisans, or kits and supplies to make your own masterpiece.
Third, we have studio space! Designated tables with locked storage, or entire rooms, we can help you meet your workspace needs.
Fourth, education! Classes 6 days a week in all sorts of crafts and artisan skills. Various levels allow you to learn a traditional skill, or just relax with your favorite art form. Music lessons are available on flute, violin, and many other instruments.
Music lessons are provided in a sound-proofed studio room. When there aren't lessons, the room can be reserved for creating YouTube videos, streaming content, and even Zoom calls and interviews! With a green screen, ring light, and mic setup, all you need is your computer and your creative content!
