As we kick off the New Year, we hope to finally find a home for Summer in 2026. We have been fostering her for South County Animal Rescue (SCAR) since last August. Please spread the word to friends and family that Summer is available for adoption. She is literally the friendliest dog I’ve ever met. Here is more info from SCAR’s website:
“Summer is a year old, Shepherd mix. She came to us as an injured stray from our friends at Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Summer was found in a ditch clinging to life, she had a severe front leg injury and could not move. Thankfully, a foster stepped up to foster her through her recovery period. She is very quiet and rarely barks. Summer can keep herself entertained and does not have separation anxiety. She loves to go on walks and hikes! Medium energy. She likes her naps but can play a lot too. Summer still uses her mouth a lot, she nibbles on your hands, toes and clothes.. so she will need a family who can continue to work on her training. She LOVES everyone. She greets every stranger like her lost best friend. Her enthusiasm for life is super adorable. Summer is fixed, vaccinated and microchipped!”
