A message from the Director for “Latin History for Morons,” Cristal González Ávila. 💬

“Latin History for Morons” is more than a comedy; it’s an invitation to look closer at the history we’ve been handed, and to question the parts that don’t match what we know in our hearts. As Cristal reminds us, our stories, our knowledge, and our contributions have too often been overlooked and this play is a chance to see them, honor them, and reclaim our place in the story. Last night we kicked off “Songs for a New World” by Jason Robert Brown with our first rehearsal, and we couldn’t be more excited about the team bringing it to life.

About the show: A theatrical song cycle by Jason Robert Brown featuring diverse characters across time and space... all connected by the theme of decisive moments when individuals must make life-changing choices and enter their own new worlds.
