“Even unrecorded lives carry profound, singular meaning” — Christopher Metzger

Costume Designer, Christopher Metzger, draws from the heart of Joanna Murray-Smith’s “Songs for Nobodies” to create looks that honor the ordinary women whose stories deserve to be told. Every stitch and silhouette is a tribute to lives that history forgot, but this show will not! ✨

Thank you to everyone who came to see “Home, I’m Darling.” Yesterday was our closing show, and we are grateful for every one of you! So many talented artists worked on this production, and we are incredibly proud of what they created.

We cannot wait for what comes next in our 2026 Season. “Songs for Nobodies” opens June 6th, and we are in rehearsals for “Latin History for Morons.”

An usher, a lavatory attendant, a librarian, a writer and a nanny –their lives seemed small until a chance encounter with a larger-than-life musical icon leads to new ways of viewing themselves and their world.

Join us as acclaimed vocalist/actor Malinda DeRouen* showcases the music of Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Billie Holiday, Edith Piaf and Maria Callas. Part play, part concert—a meditation on the transcendent power of music and its ability to connect us to something larger than ourselves.

And suddenly, tech for “Songs for Nobodies” is only a day away! There’s something really special about watching a show slowly come to life. It happens in pieces, a costume fitting here, a light cue there, a set piece being rolled onto the stage, until one day all the talented work from our team harmonizes together. We can’t wait for you to see it on June 6th 💫
