These paintings were originally created as part of a display for The Little Mermaid at Theatre Salina in 2024. 🧜‍♀️✨
The larger painting featured in this video is the only remaining piece I have from that original display, which makes it extra special to me. 🌊
I thought it was only fitting for this piece to make its way back to the very place it was originally created for. And tonight, this piece will be returning to the theater as part of the silent auction for the Dancing with Salina Stars fundraiser!
My husband, Brandon and I are also proud to be attending sponsors for tonight's event, so we're excited to be there and support such a wonderful cause! ❤️

Last night, Meghan, Brandon, and I had the opportunity to meet some truly incredible people. We spent the evening at Barolo Grille (our fav!) with our friend Vaughn and had the pleasure of getting to know the founders, volunteers, and friends of the Smoky Hill Equality Coalition. From the moment we met, we felt an instant connection with this amazing group.

Thanks to the generosity of so many, we raised over $600 through our Equality in Bloom painting, along with several other pieces. We are beyond honored to support an organization that is making such a positive impact in our community and the surrounding areas.

Hearing more about their mission and getting to know everyone on a personal level made the evening even more meaningful. Moments like these remind us why we create art—not just to make something beautiful, but to bring people together, celebrate authenticity, and support causes that matter.

Thank you to everyone who donated, bid, purchased artwork, and helped make this possible. Our hearts are full. 🌈🏳️‍🌈🌻

Today is the last day of Pride Month, and it's also the last day to place your bid on this beautiful painting by Meghan Hessman and myself.

Equality in Bloom was created to celebrate every person—not just during Pride Month, but every day of the year. We wanted to create a statement piece that reminds everyone it's okay to show all of your colors. You are worthy, you are valued, and you are beautiful just as you are.
