Oh baby, we’re two! This year has been a big one.

We took a huge leap this year, expanding into a new 7,000 square foot space and nearly tripling our capacity.

One of the greatest gifts has been witnessing what this space has become for so many people. We’ve seen strangers become friends, and friends become family. We’ve heard people talk about finding support through difficult seasons of life.

Spaces like this don’t happen by accident. They are build by people who show up, share knowledge, offer encouragement, and care for each other.

Thank you to our members, students, teachers, studio team, Warehouse artists, and everyone who has supported this dream along the way. We’re so grateful to be building this community together.

Cheers to two years, Salida! We wouldn’t be here without you. ✨

✨ Member Spotlight: Emma Karlok ✨

Meet one of our members, Emma! She first learned ceramics as a kid through school and summer camps, came back to it again in high school, and then joined Salida Ceramics as one of our original members when we opened in June 2024.

Emma is drawn to the recyclable nature of clay and the process of transforming raw material into functional objects. Her approach is rooted in experimentation — trying new techniques, exploring different styles, and letting curiosity lead the way. Looking ahead, she’s working toward larger forms, more consistency, and refining the techniques that feel most like her. She also has a running list of new projects she’s excited to try.

You can find her work at the Salida Ceramics booth at the Salida Farmers Market this summer!

I love summer mornings in the studio. There’s something almost sacred about coming into the studio before town wakes up to uncover pots or carve into the surface. A quiet moment with art, a day full of promise still ahead. Thanks to for capturing this morning light ✨

✨ Member Spotlight: Kristen Hodges ✨

Meet Kristen, who is a member, instructor, and lead kiln tech at the studio!

Kristen began working with clay in college while studying architecture, where she was drawn to ceramics as a hands-on, three-dimensional creative outlet. Her work is primarily slab-built, with a thoughtful, planned approach often supported by tar paper to strengthen forms.

Currently, she is focused on deepening her practice by refining technique and improving consistency as she grows her body of work for upcoming spring and summer shows.

You can find her work locally at the Salida Farmers’ Markets, on instagram at , or join one of her classes or workshops at the studio. We’re so lucky to have her in our studio community!
