The Artist 💫 A Vulnerability Share
When you see an artist or creative person living out their passions for a living or lifestyle, remember that offering hasn’t always come easy.
Many times people want to fantasize or glorify what I do, and say, “Wow your living the dream life”
But what they don’t always see is the days where I feel emotionally exhausted, and still choose to not give up. The days where I have completely broken down, only to build myself back from the ground up. To forget and remember myself over and over again. To acknowledge both my divinity and my humanity all at once. To feel defeated in the face of unwarranted projections from others, and the fear I may not be able to fully fulfill the visions spirit has gifted me. Only to be shown in the everyday synchronicities of my life, that this fear too shall pass.
Like the thunder and lightning that wakes me from my sleep, only to return to the full essence of the sun the next day.
Yes, at times my life can feel magical. And at other times it can feel chaotic. There are days I feel fully grounded in my center, and other days I feel like a hot mess. All of it like an unknown timeline, chasing the hopes of some kind of victory.
But my victory has never been about the things I have physically accomplished, but rather the things I have overcome. My story isn’t just a glory story. It’s a human story. One of both joys and sorrows. Of love and heartbreak. Of passions that never really died, but were reborn in every moment of my life from conception to birth.
The good, the bad, the painful, the ugly and the beautiful.
“Welcome to life they said” I now say…
“Welcome to the continuous unfolding.”🙏🏽🙏🏽
