Arts Academy Drama Club

Auditions for the Drama Club fall play, Blithe Spirit, will be immediately afterschool on Tuesday, September 8th in the theater. Those wishing to be considered for a role should prepare 30-60 seconds of a comedic monologue that best showcases their acting abilities. Memorization is preferred by not required.

Callbacks will be September 9th and rehearsals will begin as soon as possible. Callbacks will involve reading from the script, and possibly some other theatre games.

Performances are November 20-22. Mandatory tech week begins Saturday Nov 14.

If you are unable to come to auditions day, special arrangements must be made with the directorial team (Pelletier) BEFORE the 8th.

Rehearsals will start immediately Mondays-Thursdays after school from 3p-5:15p. Students will NOT be needed at every rehearsal unless being used.

All roles are open to any students of the Arts Academy in good academic standing.

It's the last day of school, which is an excellent time to announce our fall play...

Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit!

A smash comedy hit on London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic offers wit, conflict and big laughs as a fussy, cantankerous novelist finds himself haunted by the ghost of his late first wife.

Socialite and novelist Charles Condomine invites the eccentric medium and clairvoyant Madame Arcati to his house to conduct a séance, hoping to gather material for his next book. The scheme backfires when he is haunted by the ghost of his wilful and temperamental first wife, Elvira, after the séance. Elvira makes continual attempts to disrupt Charles's marriage to his second wife, Ruth, who cannot see or hear the ghost.

Auditions will be during the second week of school in the fall, and performances Nov 20-22nd!
